Editorial policy

The Editorial Committee will be responsible for authorizing the publication of works after consulting with peer reviewers, the content of which will be the sole responsibility of their authors. Articles cannot be simultaneously submitted for review to other media outlets. The journal is published free of charge in digital format.

The Corporación de Estudios y Desarrollo Norte Grande owns the journal, its registration, and the intellectual property of the publications published therein. Original articles received for review are considered confidential and protected by the Intellectual Property Law.

The journal has an open access policy based on the principle of freely making research products available to the general public. Authors of the Journal must have control over the integrity of their work and the right to be properly acknowledged and cited within the work published in the journal "Temas Regionales." This is the only limitation on reproduction and distribution.

The journal "Temas Regionales" adheres to the Budapest Open Access Initiative (OAI). It also adheres to the principles of Open Research (Open Science) and allows authors to use the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) principles for managing scientific data.

Authors must directly state in their manuscript whether they authorize the open publication of research data in their own repositories, citing the source or repository. Additionally, they must communicate their intention to publish open data in writing to the editor.

Authors are permitted to publish their manuscripts, methodology, and research data in their own institutional repositories or on their institutional open access (OA) or open science (OS) websites before and during the submission process for review in the journal "Temas Regionales." They are also permitted to publish the PDF of the final version of their work published in the journal "Temas Regionales", citing the source, after its publication in their respective institutional repositories.
